The Picture House
Based in the heart of the picturesque village of Scotby near Carlisle, just North of the Lake District hills, I work from the studio in my home in the aptly named and recently built "Picture House ". I share the Picture house with my three children, who were the original inspiration for my passion with photography; although it was borne from a fascination of fine art and composition in my school years which never stopped… Our home and studio is physical proof of my love of design and unbending eye for detail, as I project managed the build herself which was completed just 4 years ago.
I specialise in wedding photography and children’s and family portraits. My photography style is modern fresh and informal. “ My interests are varied so it keeps my eye sharp, Tastes and fashions change so fast these days but I believe in classic lines, strong composition with no gimmicks so .. photographs that improve with age.
Don’t look any further than to see proof of this than on the walls of the studio which display a wide collection of photographs finished on glass and blocks, designed personally by myself and made to order, they are unique and extremely beautiful with a simple contemporary finish but surprisingly un frighteningly/modestly priced.
