Best of 2019

A look back at the year is always a little reflective, so lets get reflective. I can’t thank these great couples enough for trusting me with the job in hand. I am fifteen years in now and I mean this sincerely when I say that each wedding is as important as the last and the day I don’t see it that way, is the day all my pictures would begin to look the same. You lovely people plan the most unique days with your own blend of unique guests and all their fascinating stories and characters. As a documentary wedding photographer this all becomes delightfully clear as the day unwraps. Every Saturday is a delicious smorgasbord of pictures all happening before me, so here is last years, all different and all just a bit gorgeous.

I photographed 38 weddings in 2019 and bar a trip to Lancashire and Edinburgh most were tucked away in the heart of the Lake District. As a Lake District documentary wedding photographer its always where most of my work is. My most frequently visited venues for both this year and last has been Askham Hall and The Gilpin Lake House, two of the finest wedding venues in the county if not country, so thank you for having me again and again.

Thank you though, most sincerely if you were there, if you booked me, worked with me, fed me, followed me, liked or shared anything, wrote a lovely review, carried my gear. Thank you to all the lovely bridesmaids, best men and ushers who are just so amazingly helpful, and the Mums, Dads, families and best mates who find the time to make me feel so completely welcome when they are so understandably immersed elsewhere.

Enough gushing, here are my favourites for the year, I hope you like x
